NEW CHRISTIANS
We encourage you to read in the Bible and pray daily in order to grow in Jesus and learn more about this new spiritual journey you are on.
If you confessed your sin, you are forgiven even if you may not feel anything different. However, watch for changes in your life that faith in Jesus brings about. Prayer is the oxygen of your new Christian life. The Bible is your food. Do not neglect them.
In John 1:9, it says “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
He is continually working in you to change you and help you mature as a Christian.
Philippians 1:6 says: “being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."
Don’t know where to begin your reading? We suggest one of the following books found in the New Testament. Each of these books teaches who Jesus is and speaks of His life on earth and why He is now in heaven. Try Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John—the first four books of the New Testament. They are good books, to begin with.
It is more important to read the Bible than to read books about the Bible. However, we recommend the book below to bolster your newfound faith
1. Case for Christ by Lee Strobel
